Job summary

CONWAY, DEUTH & SCHMIESING, PLLP is seeking an experienced accounting professional to perform a wide range of accounting, audit and tax assignments under supervision. Candidates should have an accounting degree and CPA exam eligibility, with strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax.

Excellent communication and confidentiality are essential. Role involves preparing financial statements, tax returns, payroll audits, and client consultations.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree or educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam required, CPA preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and income tax
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, Outlook and Word
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and professional demeanor

Responsibilities

• Record transactions in ledgers, prepare trial balances and simple financial statements using computer software
• Reconcile accounts to control accounts
• Prepare payroll tax, sales or other business tax and personal income tax returns
• Prepare compiled, reviewed and audited financial statements
• General bookkeeping, payroll and business consultation
• Develop client relationships and mentors staff
