Job summary

American Vanguard is seeking a Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting and SEC Reporting focused on Special Projects to join our accounting team on-site in Irvine. The role involves supporting external audits, drafting 10-Q/10-K statements, and enhancing close processes.

The candidate should have 3+ years of public accounting experience, SEC reporting expertise, and supervise staff; CPA or eligibility is preferred. Excellent multitasking and high accuracy are essential for decision-makers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA or CPA eligibility preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years public accounting experience in a global company.
• SEC reporting experience and staff supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with external audit quarterly reviews and annual audit documentation.
• Prepare draft 10-Q / 10-K financial statements and footnotes.
• Review procedures, narratives and controls to improve processes.
• Review journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Track financial management capabilities and assist with project management.
• Provide ad hoc reports as requested.
• Assist with special projects to improve close processes.
