Job summary

Rover.com is seeking a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting to own core accounting processes including month-end close and financial reporting. This role acts as a subject-matter expert and partner to FP&A, Tax, and other teams while ensuring accuracy of Rover's US GAAP reporting.

The position is hybrid with the Downtown Seattle preference; applicants based in the Greater Seattle Area or willing to relocate are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• BS/BA in Accounting preferred.
• CPA preferred or in progress.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience in a private equity-backed or high-growth environment preferred.
• Experience with financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communicator with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end and year-end close deliverables for general ledger areas.
• Drive improvements to close processes, automation, and documentation.
• Prepare and review financial statements and cash flow for monthly, quarterly, annual deliverables.
• Assist with internal and external reporting deliverables.
• Maintain audit-readiness across financial statements and reporting.
