Job summary

AAON is seeking an Accountant III to perform advanced accounting responsibilities, support financial reporting, and partner with business stakeholders to drive accuracy and compliance. The role requires independent work on complex tasks and mentoring junior staff.

You will lead month-end close, prepare analyses, and help implement process improvements while collaborating across functions to enhance controls and performance. On-site in Redmond, Oregon.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 5+ years in accounting/finance or equivalent experience.
• Manufacturing/industrial experience preferred.
• CPA designation or progress toward certification preferred.
• Experience with complex financial reporting and audits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze complex transactions and journal entries.
• Lead account reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare analyses, reports, and schedules for decision-making and compliance.
• Develop and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation and responses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on accounting issues.
• Provide guidance to less experienced staff.
