Job summary

Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) seeks a Senior Accountant to oversee accounting and financial functions across multiple campuses, reporting to the Director, Accounting & Reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with extensive experience in general ledger, month-end close, audits, internal controls, budgeting, and supervision of departments within the Business & Finance Division. Higher education experience is preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field with concentration in accounting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and financial functions across multiple campuses.
• Assist in development of budgets and cash forecasts. Monitor financial transactions and internal controls.
• Recruit, train and mentor employees in the Business & Finance Division; apply judgment with limited supervision.
