Discovery Behavioral Health in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial record maintenance, GL entries, and reconciliations. You will prepare analyses for external audits and assist with management reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in accounting, healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage monthly closing and close process on schedule.
• Review month-end tasks and prepare journal entries.
• Analyze income statements for GAAP adherence.
• Prepare monthly financial packages and variance analyses.
• Reconcile accounts and prepare supporting schedules.
• Identify issues and escalate to accounting management.
• Suggest internal control improvements and update procedures.
• Support lender reporting, 1099, and tax compliance.
• Collaborate with departments for timely information.
• Support business expansion, including mergers/acquisitions.
• Review prepaid and accruals monthly.
