Responsibilities

  • Manage clients' financial operations, including taxation, accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll management.
  • Ensure compliance with US taxation laws and regulations, including timely filing of tax returns and payments.
  • Collaborate with sales and business development to support client acquisition and grow the firm's client base.
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, invoicing, collections, payments, and reconciliation.
  • Maintain current financial records using QuickBooks and other accounting software.
  • Analyze financial data and trends to advise on performance and efficiency.
  • Foster cross-department collaboration aligning financial strategies with business goals.
  • Mentor and guide junior accounting staff.
  • Facilitate client onboarding for assigned engagements.
  • Contribute to client acquisition and retention with strong customer service.
  • Organize and update digital and physical financial records.
  • Participate in external audits and provide documentation as needed.
  • Prepare year-end audit schedules and support the audit process.
  • Assist in documenting, designing, and testing processes affecting financial statements or company performance.
  • Assist with automating systems and spreadsheets to streamline accounting functions.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related; Master's degree is a plus
  • CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential is a must
  • 5+ years of professional experience in full-cycle accounting and tax; experience in Public Accounting is preferred
  • Comfort with, and interest in, client acquisition and business development activities
  • Growth-oriented mindset, with a genuine interest in long-term career advancement
  • International Tax Law knowledge is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Experience with QuickBooks and/or other accounting software
  • Experience with UltraTax and/or other tax preparation software
