We are seeking a highly motivated Corporate Tax Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Greenville, SC. This position plays a key role in supporting the company’s federal, state, and local tax compliance, provision, and planning processes. The ideal candidate will have strong technical tax knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and assist in the review of federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns
Support the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740
Research and analyze complex tax issues and legislation to ensure compliance and recommend planning opportunities
Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements and automation within the tax function
Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for tax positions, credits, and other compliance items
Assist with tax audits, notices, and other inquiries from tax authorities
Collaborate with Accounting and Finance teams to gather data and ensure proper tax reporting
Support the implementation of tax software updates and maintenance
Stay current on changes in tax laws and accounting standards and communicate implications to leadership
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
CPA or progress toward certification preferred
Solid knowledge of U.S. federal and state corporate tax laws
Experience with income tax accounting under ASC 740
Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., OneSource, Corptax, CCH Axcess) and Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
