Job summary

Quanta Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant, Consolidations and Internal Reporting to lead internal and external reporting for operating units and consolidated results.

The role interfaces with Treasury, Tax, HR, Risk, FP&A, Legal, and international teams to ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration with 4–6 years of accounting experience in industry or 2+ years in public accounting, strong US GAAP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration and 2+ years public accounting or 4–6 years industry accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP accounting requirements.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Compiles and loads FX rates into General Ledger.
• Monitors and facilitates monthly Journal Entry process within OneStream.
• Performs consolidated review and analysis of intercompany balances.
• Prepares monthly interest income and expense deliverables.
• Prepares monthly Income Statement analytics.
• Assists with monthly Balance Sheet analytics.
• Cross-trains on monthly Flash Reports and consolidation processes.
• Assists auditors and resolves inquiries about processes and results.
• Researches non-routine accounting issues and strengthens internal controls.

About this Role

The responsibilities of the Senior Accountant, Consolidations and Internal Reporting include internal and external reporting of the operating units and consolidated results. The position requires interaction with various groups within the corporate offices (i.e., Treasury, Tax, Human Resources, Risk, Financial Planning & Analysis, Legal, etc.), domestic and international operating units’ accounting personnel.

What You'll Do

• Compiles and Loads FX rates into General Ledger and OneStream.
• Monitors and facilitates monthly Journal Entry process within OneStream.
• Conducts consolidated review and analysis of intercompany balances.
• Prepares monthly interest income and expense deliverables.
• Prepares monthly Income Statement analytics.
• Assists with monthly Balance Sheet analytics.
• Cross-trains on the preparation of the various monthly Flash Reports.
• Cross-trains on other areas of the Consolidation process, such as the override and rollforward review processes.
• Assists in ad hoc requests as needed.
• Assists internal and external auditors in resolving inquiries regarding process and results.
• Evaluates existing processes for efficiencies and control deficiencies.
• Researches non-routine/complex accounting issues.
• Performs internal controls for areas of responsibility.
• Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration and minimum 2 years public accounting experience or 4 – 6 years relevant industry experience within accounting field.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP accounting requirements.
