Job summary

Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) in Century City, CA, is seeking a Senior Accountant for Consolidation to join the corporate finance team. The role focuses on US GAAP and IFRS consolidation, equity and debt analysis, and preparation of quarterly and annual reporting packages for US operations.

You will support audits, refine consolidation methodologies, and partner with multiple finance subgroups to ensure accurate financial statements and compliance with changing standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of combined public and private accounting experience.
• Experience with consolidations and financial reporting.
• CPA preferred.
• Strong financial statement analysis and cash flow management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing business needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly USGAAP consolidated financial statements and the year-end statement of cash flows and footnote disclosures.
• Prepare quarterly IFRS and USGAAP consolidation packages, including analysis of equity, non-controlling interests, investment in unconsolidated joint ventures, debt, and profit and loss.
• Assist in semi-annual IFRS financial audits, including preparation of account analysis on property, plant and equipment, deferred costs and various other balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Assist with annual financial audit of USGAAP consolidated financial statements.
• Assist with maintaining the Company’s consolidation methodologies, such as ownership structure and consolidation percentages, especially after acquisitions, dispositions and/or tax structure changes.
• Monitor, develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain integrity of financial records, as needed.
• Assist other Finance subgroups with technical accounting matters and the Company’s consolidation software, as needed.
• Special projects and analysis, as needed.

We are currently looking for our:

Senior Accountant, Consolidation (On-site in Century City, CA)

What We Offer

The position will be an integral member of the corporate finance group, reporting directly to the Manager of Consolidation & Technical Accounting. This position will assist in the consolidation and reporting of the Company’s US operations under both IFRS and USGAAP. This includes consolidation of wholly owned and joint venture properties, performing analysis and preparing rollforward schedules for the balance sheet and income statement, particularly equity, non-controlling interests, equity accounted investments and debt. The position will also assist in preparation of quarterly reporting packages for the Parent Company, assist in semi-annual and annual financial audits and issuance of audited USGAAP consolidated financial statements.
