Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a finance professional to join our accounting team in Fort Mill, SC. This role supports month, quarter, and year-end close, reconciles ledgers, drafts journal entries, and ensures accurate acquisitions accounting in line with standards.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting, 2–3 years of public accounting experience, and is CPA-minded. Proficiency in Excel and the ability to travel periodically are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting is required.
• 2–3 years in public accounting (audit) experience is required.
• CPA or on the path to CPA is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical, quantitative, and investigative abilities.
• Demonstrates teamwork and communicates effectively with other members of the organization.
• Willing and able to travel periodically.

Responsibilities

• Support month, quarter, and year-end close processes.
• Compile monthly general ledger account reconciliations.
• Calculate and draft monthly journal entries.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure GL accounts are complete and accurate.
• Analyze acquisitions to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Accounting Manager.
