Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an accounting professional in Fort Mill, SC to join our close team. The role focuses on the monthly close, reconciliations, and journal entries, ensuring acquisitions align with accounting standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, 2–3 years in public accounting, and preferably a CPA or CPA track. Strong Excel skills, independence, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in accounting required.
• 2-3 years in Public Accounting (audit) experience required.
• CPA or on path to CPA preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Detail oriented and proactive problem solver with excellent analytical, quantitative, and investigative abilities.
• Demonstrates teamwork and communicates effectively with other members of the organization.
• Desires to develop accounting knowledge through continual learning opportunities.
• Willing and able to travel periodically.

Responsibilities

• Support month, quarter, and year-end close processes
• Compile monthly general ledger account reconciliations.
• Calculate and draft monthly journal entries
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure GL accounts are complete and accurate.
• Analyze acquisitions to ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Perform other duties as assigned by Accounting Manager
