Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education/certification is required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience with inventory/cost accounting and multi-entity organizations preferred but not required.
• Experience with inventory/cost accounting, forecasting, cashflow, or multi-entity experience is preferred but not required.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP/accounting software; ability to audit data and suggest improvements.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and adjusting entries.
• Maintain records of account entries by compiling and analyzing activities.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and fiscal/calendar-year close processes with CFO.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and schedules.
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts; investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations.
• Assist with cash flow reporting and forecasting.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed asset accounting as needed.
• Assist management with special projects and financial analysis.
• Provide accounting support to other departments.
