Job summary

Delinea is seeking an experienced Sr. Accountant to scale accounting activities and drive timely monthly close. You will work in the GL and International Accounting teams, prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and controls to support accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities include owning segments of the close, analyzing fluctuations, strengthening internal controls, coordinating with FP&A, AP, Payroll, Tax, and external audits, and enabling scalable processes as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and minimum four (4) years’ accounting experience in a combined corporate environment and large public accounting firm
• At least one year of experience within a corporate accounting team working on month-end close with demonstrated experience owning full-cycle close processes
• CPA or CPA candidate
• Strong technical and analytical skills including knowledge of US GAAP
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, lookups)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Ability to dig in and take ownership of responsibilities and meet critical deadlines in a past-paced environment
• Experience with NetSuite (or a similar large ERP) as well as close management software (FloQast, Blackline or similar)
• Experience in the Technology/SaaS industry is a plus

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in the month-end close process by owning assigned areas of the close in support of journal entry preparation and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with fluctuation analysis and other analyses to enhance controls over financial reporting process.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting, documenting processes and ensuring consistent, repeatable execution across the close cycle — with an eye toward building controls that scale as the organization grows
• Partner with other teams within the Finance function such as: FP&A, AP, Payroll, International accounting and Tax teams to ensure accurate and timely close
• Assist with external and statutory audit requests
• Support ad hoc projects, including system implementations, process improvements, and integration of acquired entities
• Identify opportunities to improve close efficiency, accuracy, and scalability as the company grows
