Job summary

Viant Technology in Irvine, CA is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join a growing digital advertising technology company active in a fast-paced environment. You will be heavily involved in financial close, data analysis, audits, and cross-functional collaboration with IT and finance.

Base compensation range: $95,000 - $105,000. Final title and compensation depend on experience and education. Viant emphasizes discretion with sensitive information and supports professional growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• CPA preferred (in process or active).
• Solid knowledge of accounting and GAAP.
• Big 4/regional firm audit/assurance experience preferred or mix of public and private.
• Excel with advanced functions (XLOOKUP, Power Query/PowerPivot).
• ERP implementation (NetSuite preferred) or system optimization exposure.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for certain aspects of the monthly financial close process and deadlines.
• Prepare and perform financial statement flux analysis for assigned areas.
• Coordinate and collaborate with GL staff, finance, and other accounting personnel.
• Leverage and research accounting pronouncements, as directed.
• Prepare support for external auditors.
• Prepare journal entries requiring senior accountant level skillset.
• Prepare accurate and quality balance sheet reconciliations monthly.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, and IT on ERP integrations and improvements.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions and Power Query to analyze large datasets.
