Job summary

BMSS Advisors & CPAs, a top 100 CPA and advisory firm, is seeking a detailed Accountant for our Ridgeland, MS office. You will work with the Client Accounting Solutions (CAS) team to deliver tailored accounting services that support client operations and financial success.

This role offers hands-on engagement with diverse clients, mentorship, and a culture focused on balance and community involvement, with growth opportunities within the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, public accounting preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and payroll processes, including multi-state payrolls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day accounting support including general ledger management and payroll processing.
• Prepare monthly financial statements tailored to client needs.
• Assist with multi-state payrolls and complex payroll structures.
• Deliver high-quality service aligned with firm standards and client expectations.
• Communicate proactively with clients to address needs and identify opportunities.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.
