Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with consolidations and intercompany accounting.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP or accounting software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Financial Reporting & Month-End Close

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
• Prepare financial statements, account reconciliations, and management reports
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Support audit preparation and financial review processes

Accounting & Financial Analysis

• Manage consolidated financial reporting and intercompany transactions
• Monitor project costs and maintain Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules
• Analyze financial performance and identify trends and opportunities
• Prepare reports and recommendations to support business decisions

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist with annual budgeting and financial planning processes
• Develop forecasts and variance analyses
• Support department leaders with financial reporting and planning needs
• Provide insights to improve operational and financial performance

Tax & Compliance

• Prepare and support various tax filings
• Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors
• Ensure compliance with financial, regulatory, and reporting requirements
• Assist with process improvements and internal controls

Business Partnership

• Collaborate with internal teams and leadership
• Communicate financial information in both English and Japanese
• Support special projects and strategic initiatives
• Serve as a trusted financial resource for management

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with consolidations and intercompany accounting
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with ERP or accounting software
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Required

• Fluent in both Japanese and English (written and verbal)

Preferred

• CPA designation
• Experience with tax compliance and audit support
• Experience in project accounting or WIP reporting environments
• Experience supporting multinational or bilingual business operations
