Job summary

Long-Lewis Auto Group is seeking a Senior Accountant - Auto to join our Florence corporate office. You will perform monthly accounting integrity tasks and support GAAP-compliant reporting across a large automotive group with multiple locations.

The role also involves developing an internal financial reporting framework and KPI dashboards, and collaborating with dealership operations to ensure accurate financial statements and timely board materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or higher.
• Advanced Excel skills with reconciliation and journal entries.
• Automotive dealership accounting experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly with DMS, bank reconciliations, inventory systems, AP system.
• Review monthly general ledger activity and aged reports for reasonableness.
• Prepare schedules and support for board presentation materials.
• Perform variance analysis over key financial accounts comparing to budget or prior periods.
• Assist in annual budgeting process.
• Document reconciliation procedures and flag control gaps.
