Job summary

The State of West Virginia seeks an Accountant Auditor 4 to perform advanced-level accounting duties in financial reporting, analysis, and general accounting for multiple state agencies.

Responsibilities include managing complex transactions, ensuring GAAP-compliant reporting, and assisting with vendor 1099 reviews and lease tracking. Requires a Bachelor's with 24 accounting hours and 4 years of related experience; incentives may apply.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree with at least 24 semester hours in accounting.
• Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in professional accounting or related fields.
• Master's degree may substitute for two years; CPA/CFEs/CVAs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, manage and complete complex accounting transactions for multiple WV departments.
• Prepare complex GAAP-compliant financial reports and allocate expenditures and revenues.
• Assist with annual review of vendor 1099s and track agency leases.
