A public accounting firm based in Burlington, MA, with a long-standing reputation for exceptional service in the property management space — both residential and commercial — is hiring a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager, due to exciting growth and strong demand from new and existing clients. We need someone like you to help us continue saying "yes" to opportunity.

You’ll work directly with one of our partners — a sharp, thoughtful, and down-to-earth leader — and a team that values integrity, collaboration, and balance. Here, you won’t be a cog in the machine. You’ll be part of a firm where your input helps shape processes, client experiences, and the future of the business.

What You'll Do:

1. Own and manage the accounting process for a portfolio of property management clients
2. Lead or contribute to full-cycle month-end close processes
3. Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP
4. Review and reconcile general ledger accounts
5. Liaise with clients on financial matters, reporting, and ad hoc analysis
6. Collaborate with junior team members and support their development (for those in manager/supervisor capacity)
7. Recommend and implement process improvements as the company scales

What We're Looking For:

• 3–10 years of accounting experience, ideally in property management or public accounting with real estate clients
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and hands-on experience with month-end close
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, formulas — you're comfortable and curious in spreadsheets)
• Experience with MRI, Yardi, AppFolio, or other property management software is a big plus (but not required — we can train the right person)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills — you’re comfortable engaging with clients or learning how
• A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and take ownership
