Job summary

LHH in the greater Portland metro area seeks a Sr. Accountant for a manufacturing environment. This on-site role focuses on General Ledger, month-end closes, and process improvements, with strong mentorship and growth opportunities.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in accounting, 3+ years of GL experience, and strong MS Excel skills. Manufacturing experience is preferred. Location is Wilsonville with future 1 day WFH/week. Compensation includes a bonus.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger focused role, including period and month-end journal entries.
• Month-end balance sheet reconciliations, review and variance analysis.
• Complex fixed assets management.
• Support inventory analysis, tax reporting, and revenue recognition as needed.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and significant project work.

Job description

Sr. Accountant opportunity with Manufacturing in the greater Portland metro area. This is a newly added position to support organizational change and significant process updates. This is a great opportunity for a General Ledger accountant who would like to continue to grow within a strong mentorship environment. As the ideal candidate for this role, you’ll have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, strong MS Excel skills, and at least 3+ years of General Ledger specific experience. Manufacturing experience is highly preferred.

This team is specifically seeking out individuals who are growth and process improvement minded. Culture and communication are key – looking for someone who will tackle challenges head on and be engaged in process improvement initiatives.

Location: Fully on-site in Wilsonville area, future flexibility for 1 day WFH/week

Compensation: $85,000-100,000 + bonus

Your Job Responsibilities:

• General Ledger focused role, including periodic and month/ end Journal Entries including accruals and adjustments
• Month end balance sheet reconciliations, review and variance analysis
• Complex fixed assets management
• Also will support Inventory analysis, tax reporting, and revenue recognition as needed
• Significant project work and supporting process improvement initiatives

What you bring to the team:

• 3-5+ years of general ledger accounting experience required, open to a mix of public accounting and corporate accounting experience if strength in G/L
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related is required
• A continuous improvement mindset with motivation to take action to streamline processes and contribute to overall process improvement initiatives
• MS Excel Proficiency required including Pivots, Lookups, and complex formulas
• Manufacturing industry experience is highly preferred
