Job summary

Dycom Industries, based in West Palm Beach, FL, seeks a Senior Accountant to manage core corporate accounting tasks, including GL activities, month-end close, reconciliations, and internal controls compliance. You will work cross-functionally across departments to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in accounting (CPA preferred) and at least 5 years of corporate accounting experience with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent; CPA preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of corporate accounting experience with month-end close.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Proficiency with SAP S/4HANA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation; including accruals and other adjusting entries
• Contribute to timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Support audits with documentation, explanations, and analysis
• Identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly
• Assist budgeting and forecasting for assigned departments monthly

What you’ll do

• Prepare & post journal entries with supporting documentation; including accruals and other necessary adjusting entries
• Contribute to timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and analysis as needed
• Identify and address discrepancies or issues that arise, resolving them in a timely manner
• Identify opportunities for improvements in accounting operations
• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts for assigned departments on a monthly basis.

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent - CPA preferred
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in corporate accounting, with a focus on month-end close activities
• Sound business and financial acumen
• Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Experience with SAP S/4 HANA preferred
