Senior Accountant

Location: Hybrid – based in the Greater New York City area

Reports to: Assistant Controller

What You’ll Do

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles, ensuring accuracy across all reporting.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany activity across multiple entities.
• Support internal and external audits, acting as a point of contact for audit requests.
• Identify areas for improvement across accounting operations and help implement smarter processes and automation.
• Collaborate with FP&A and business partners to maintain accurate, insightful financial reporting.
• Help formalize internal controls and document key processes.
• Contribute to modernization initiatives that enhance data accuracy, reporting speed, and financial transparency.

What You Bring

• CPA designation (or actively working toward it).
• 5–7 years of progressive experience in accounting, including at least 1–2 years in public accounting.
• Experience working in multi-entity or global finance environments.
• Deep understanding of GAAP, consolidation accounting, and intercompany transactions.
• A track record of improving processes and using technology to streamline work.
• Industry exposure to sectors like distribution, manufacturing, CPG, or pharmaceuticals is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite is preferred.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with strong communication and organizational skills.
