Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

We are working with a privately held company south of the DFW Metroplex, known for their collaborative culture and commitment to excellence. They continue to grow and are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant who thrives in a dynamic, small-company environment, someone eager to contribute to financial integrity and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead month-end close processes: prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and ensure accurate financial reporting

Generate monthly financial statements, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow

Perform variance analysis and interpret results, providing actionable insights to management

Support audit processes, both external and internal, by preparing schedules and financial documentation

Maintain inter-company accounting (if applicable), including reconciliations and elimination entries

Oversee or mentor junior bookkeeping/accounting staff, ensuring quality control and training

Drive process improvement initiatives: implement best practices, streamline workflows, and support ERP/software integration

Assist in ad-hoc projects, such as budgeting, forecasting, or special clean-up and backlog tasks

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is strongly preferred. Alternatives like CMA, CGMA, or CPA-progress candidates will also be considered

3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience in private or public settings; full-cycle accounting experience is essential

Strong understanding of GAAP, especially revenue recognition, accruals, and variance analysis

Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks or ERP platforms), as well as advanced Excel skills (formulas, PivotTables)
