Job summary

KRM Development in the Des Moines metro seeks a Senior Accountant to support accurate financial reporting and efficient accounting operations across the organization. You will prepare financial statements, manage cash flow and WIP reporting, and improve processes through automation.

The role requires an accounting background, strong GAAP knowledge, and the ability to partner with operations while driving improvements. Leadership potential is a path in this fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, reconciliations, cash flow reporting, and month-end close.
• Advanced spreadsheet skills and comfort working with large data sets.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with construction or real estate accounting, WIP reporting, multi-entity consolidation, Sage, automation, lender reporting, or treasury operations is preferred.

The Role

The Senior Accountant supports accurate financial reporting and efficient accounting operations across the organization.

This role prepares financial statements, manages cash flow and work-in-progress reporting, supports subsidiary accounting and banking activity, and improves reporting processes through automation.

A successful candidate would be a self-starter, hands-on accounting professional who can take ownership of the financial close and reporting process, can partner effectively with operations, and has the ability and ambition to grow into a leadership role within the team.

Core Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Consolidation:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Consolidate results and reconcile intercompany activity.
• Manage general ledger activity, reconciliations, and close processes for subsidiary entities.
