Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly and annual general ledger close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
• Support internal and external financial audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses to audit requests.
• Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, internal controls, and Company accounting policies applicable to assigned areas.
• Respond to ad hoc accounting inquiries and information requests from Finance and other business partners.

Job Description

Location: Tysons, VA 4 days a week

The Role

The Senior Accountant, as part of the HQ Finance team, is responsible for all aspects of the general ledger, including daily transactions, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close. The role also supports global projects and ensures compliance with company policies across Worldwide Finance operations.

Your Focus (including but not limited to):

• Support monthly, quarterly and annual general ledger close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
• Support internal and external financial audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses to audit requests.
• Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, internal controls, and Company accounting policies applicable to assigned areas.
• Respond to ad hoc accounting inquiries and information requests from Finance and other business partners.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $83,100 to $149,500 and represents a good faith estimate of the range at the time of posting. Strategy maintains broad salary ranges to account for differences in skills, experience, qualifications, internal peer equity, market conditions, and business needs.

Candidates are typically placed within the range based on these factors, and it is not common for individuals to be hired at or near the top of the range. The posted range reflects base salary only. Eligible employees may also participate in bonus programs, sales incentives, equity awards, and comprehensive benefits, as applicable.
