Rocket Software is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting team. This role drives the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, supports consolidated financial reporting, audits, and systems controls.

This is a US-based remote position, aligned to Eastern Time hours, working with global teams. You will coordinate close activities, prepare financial statements, footnotes, and schedules, and ensure audit-ready documentation while supporting multi-entity consolidation and currency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA certification.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience in corporate or public accounting.
• Hands-on month-end/quarter-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Proficient in Excel with strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Rocket Software is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting team. This role will play a key role in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, consolidated financial reporting, audit support, and administration of key accounting systems and controls.

The Senior Accountant will coordinate activities across Corporate Accounting and partner closely with teams including FP&A, Revenue, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Facilities, Benefits, Shared Services, and IT. The role is well suited for someone who enjoys both hands-on accounting and coordinating complex close and reporting processes across a global organization.

This is a US based remote position and candidates must be comfortable working Eastern Time Zone hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Support accounting for key corporate workstreams, including leases, legal accruals, bonus and commission accruals, debt, and capitalized IT expenditures.

• Assist with quarterly and annual financial statement preparation, including financial statement tables, footnotes, supporting schedules, and tie-outs.

• Ensure financial statement support and underlying accounting documentation are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.

• Support the consolidation of multiple legal entities and currencies, including foreign currency translation, intercompany eliminations, and reconciliation of consolidated financial results.

• Coordinate monthly and quarterly close activities, including leading close calls, monitoring progress against deadlines, identifying bottlenecks, and following up on outstanding items.

• Support administration of Oracle, Blackline, and Lease Accelerator and troubleshoot system issues

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• CPA certification.

• Strong accounting foundation and knowledge of U.S. GAAP.

• Experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or a combination of both.

• Hands-on experience with month-end and quarter-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, roll forwards, and supporting schedules.

• Strong Microsoft Excel, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to investigate discrepancies, manage competing deadlines, and independently drive issues toward resolution.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to partner across accounting and non-accounting teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle ERP, Blackline, consolidated financial reporting, and supporting interim and annual financial statement audits

• Experience with ASC 842, multi-entity or multinational accounting, and technical accounting research.

• Experience working within a private-equity-backed or similarly fast-paced global organization

• Interest in accounting systems, automation, AI, and continuous process improvement.

Annual salary range for this position is between $83,000.00 - $112,050.00 gross before taxes.
