A rapidly growing, highly profitable company with the backing of one of the nation's largest private companies is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Prepare and review WIP reporting for construction projects, ensuring accurate revenue and cost tracking.
Apply appropriate revenue recognition methods in compliance with GAAP and industry standards.
Maintain and review accounting for fixed-price contracts, including billing, cost allocation, and revenue recognition.
Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate entries.
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accurate cash position reporting.
Manage payroll processing and related reporting, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Support internal and external audits, including preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to inquiries.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support management decision-making.
Identify process improvements and implement best practices within the accounting function.
Collaborate with project managers, operations, and finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
3-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in construction accounting.
Strong knowledge of WIP reporting, revenue recognition, and fixed-price contract accounting.
Familiarity with audit processes and preparation of audit schedules.
Proficiency in accounting software (Accumatica) and Microsoft Excel.
