Qualifications

Overview

The Senior Accountant at Belmont Park will manage the financial operations of one of the premier amusement parks and entertainment destinations. The role focuses on accurate reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting strategic decision‑making for the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements (income, balance sheet, cash flow) ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and Belmont Park policies; develop annual budgets and long‑term forecasts, monitor performance, and create ad‑hoc reports for management.
  • General Ledger Management and Compliance: Maintain the general ledger, including chart of accounts, journal entries, and reconciliations; oversee revenue transactions, ensure proper coding, coordinate with sales and marketing, and assist with tax return preparation and external audits.
  • Internal Controls: Evaluate and strengthen internal control procedures to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Cost Management and Process Improvement: Allocate costs across departments, identify cost‑control opportunities, streamline processes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work with teams across the organization to resolve financial issues and support business objectives.

Schedule and Compensation
