Job summary

Wilder is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the medical billing team and ensure accuracy of financial records. You will manage month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement prep while partnering with the Billing Manager to improve cash flow and compliance with healthcare regulations.

The role is in-person with hybrid flexibility, requiring 3 days on-site per week in Minnesota. A BA degree and 5+ years of senior accounting experience are required, with CPA or CRCP preferred.

Job description

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the medical billing team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reporting. This position is responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, including month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. The Senior Accountant will collaborate closely with the Billing Manager to support revenue cycle management and performance, financial accuracy, and compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and payer requirements. Partner with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and audit activities as required, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can analyze financial data to provide insights that support strategic decision-making, including analyzing receivables and resolving outstanding balances to improve cash flow and reduce write offs. Ultimately, the Senior Accountant contributes to the financial health and transparency of the organization by maintaining robust accounting practices and controls, and supporting the billing team with third party billing and receivables management to optimize revenue cycle performance.

This is an in person, hybrid role. Must be in person 3 days a week.

Qualifications:

BA degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field, and minimum of 5 years senior level accounting or financial management experience required, with at least 2 years of supervision experience preferred. Certification in Medical Billing or Coding (CPC, CPB) or Certified Revenue Cycle Professional (CRCP) preferred. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and proficiency in accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel. Proficiency with medical billing systems, accounts receivable, and revenue cycle management. Familiarity with healthcare regulations and CMS guidelines strongly preferred. Must have excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends, with advanced data analysis and financial modeling skills preferred.

Salary Range:$80,000.00 To $90,000.00 Annually
