Ingersoll Cutting Tools is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting, support month-end/year-end closes, and provide cost accounting input for our Rockford, Illinois operations. The role collaborates with production, inventory management, and leadership teams to deliver accurate financial information for decision-making.

The candidate should have CPA with 2+ years experience or a bachelor’s degree with 5 years experience (or associate with 8 years).

Qualifications

• Requires a CPA with minimum 2 years relevant accounting experience OR bachelor’s degree in accounting with minimum 5 years relevant work experience OR associate degree in accounting with minimum 8 years relevant work experience.
• Preferred candidate will have 5 or more years progressive experience, ideally from within a manufacturing environment, performing accounting roles similar to the posted primary responsibilities of this position.
• Experience working cross-functionally, including production and marketing departments.
• Ability to accurately prepare timely reports. Monthly closing process with strict deadlines.
• Excellent analytical skills, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. High proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office programs.

Responsabilités

• Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with GAAP
• Lead and support month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
• Coordinate actions and journal entry postings intersecting various accounting functions
• Review and reconcile accounting activity between global network of affiliated companies
• Prepare monthly reports for the parent company
• Prepare reports for quarterly and annual audits
• Support inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing variance analysis
• Monitor cost accounting links to ensure proper expense allocation of A/P invoices
• Review and approve or release all outgoing payments by check, ACH or wire
• Monitor all incoming and outgoing cash flow in bank accounts and generate periodic forecasts
• Troubleshoot ERP issues
• Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and assist in creation of new policies/procedures

Salary consideration starting at $62K.
