Job summary

CFS, a Portland-based firm, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team. The role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, budgeting, tax support, and governance, with direct interaction with ownership and leadership.

You will drive month-end close, manage intercompany transactions, payroll-related accounting, and asset management, contributing to improvements beyond routine accounting in a stable, long-term oriented organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience with financial statements.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany transactions, and cash management functions.
• Support budgeting, financial reporting, and special projects for ownership and leadership.
• Coordinate tax preparation support, fixed asset accounting, and year-end reporting.
• Maintain corporate records, governance documentation, and compliance filings.
• Oversee payroll-related accounting activities, employee records, and insurance administration.
