Descripción del empleo

Senior Accountant – Billing and Reconciliation, Controller Track

The Senior Accountant takes ownership of complex customer billing, reconciliation and invoice review in a fast-paced print manufacturing environment where accuracy, curiosity, and practical problem solving are essential. The ideal candidate is exceptionally strong at reconciliation and problem-solving. When numbers don't agree, you don't simply identify the discrepancy—you want to understand why they don't agree, trace the source, determine what should have happened, and correct the underlying issue. You are comfortable working through complicated transactions, reviewing supporting documentation, identifying errors and inconsistencies, and independently reaching a defensible conclusion, and working with job coordinators, purchasing, and sales teams to ensure timely, accurate preparation of invoices for the company’s business forms and election customer base.

The position is designed to expand into broader accounting including month-end processes, account reconciliation, financial review, internal controls, and ultimately a Controller-level role for the right candidate.

Phases of Role Development –

Monthly progress reviews conducted to assure reinforcement of expectations. Upon successful mastery, reviews are given annually.

Phase 1

Learn the business through billing: Own complicated billing, reconcile jobs, investigate discrepancies, understand customer requirements, and learn how operational activity flows into the accounting system.

Phase 2

Expand into accounting: Take on balance-sheet reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, revenue analysis, audit support, process improvement, and internal controls.

Phase 3

Controller development: Assume increasing responsibility for the integrity of the general ledger, close process, financial reporting, accounting procedures, and supervision/oversight of accounting functions.
