Job summary

Sol Rise Staffing is seeking an accounting professional to play a key role in day-to-day accounting operations and drive process improvements across the finance function in Phoenix.

You will handle daily transactions, month-end close, and audits, leveraging ERP systems and Excel to ensure GAAP compliance and accurate financial reporting, with opportunities to streamline processes and collaborate with a strong team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA track preferred.
• 4+ years of accounting experience in large corporate or mix of public accounting.
• Strong Excel skills and analytical/problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate recording of daily transactions — cash receipts, AP/AR, credit card activity, marketing, payroll, and intercompany allocations
• Prepare timely, accurate month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, including fiscal year-end close activities
• Maintain and reconcile inter-store accounts, resolving discrepancies as they arise
• Review and reconcile the general ledger, investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Support external audit coordination, including account analysis and scheduling
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal/state regulations
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and best practices to streamline the close process

What You Bring:

• 4+ years of accounting experience, in a large corporate environment or a mix of public accounting experience
• Experience with ERP systems preferred
• Exposure to auditing, SEC reporting, or SOX compliance a plus
• Strong Excel skills and analytical/problem-solving ability
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working independently or on a team
