LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a well-established, growing organization in Montgomery County that is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its team. This hybrid role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in public audit and assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, financial reports, and account reconciliations for complex areas.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain internal controls to support SOX requirements.
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide clear explanations to stakeholders.
• Assist with external audits and compile required schedules and documentation.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and support operational data requests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA or actively pursuing preferred
• 6+ years of accounting experience, ideally from public audit/assurance
• Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP systems preferred
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in construction, project-based, or similar industries preferred.

Compensation

$80,000 - $90,000
