Key Responsibilities For The Senior Accountant
- Lead and support month-end close activities
- Prepare and post journal entries, including reclasses and variance analysis
- Upload, review, and verify financial documentation and invoices
- Analyze expense trends and provide fluctuation analysis during close cycles
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Identify and support process improvement initiatives
- Assist with reporting and other ad hoc accounting projects
Qualifications For The Senior Accountant
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a large or complex organization
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, and complex formulas
- Experience working with large-scale ERP or general ledger systems
- Self-motivated professional with strong attention to detail and ownership mentality
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
