Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina seeks an experienced finance professional to lead the preparation and review of financial statements, coordinating month-end close and reporting. You will analyze complex financial information, support auditors, and drive improvements in controls and processes within a hybrid work setup.
The role requires a strong background in GAAP/SAP, 5+ years of related experience (or 7+ years without a degree), and familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle,
Responsible for the preparation and review of the financial statements through the coordination of the month end close and reporting process. Responsible for gathering and analyzing complex financial information, evaluating accounting implications, and formulating recommendations for senior management based on findings. Provide technical guidance on accounting and fiscal procedures. Responsible for continuous improvement through the evaluation of accounting and reporting controls and the implementation of corrective action plans. Supports the implementation of projects to improve and/or facilitate accounting and reporting functions. Works with internal and external auditors and implementing recommendations, as applicable and fields internal and external inquiries, including those from external parties.
