Job summary

Rautenberg Associates, on behalf of our PE-backed client, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing multi-entity platform in the New York area. You will report to the CFO and help institutionalize accounting across the organization.

Responsibilities include leading month- and year-end close, WIP reporting, intercompany eliminations, and sponsor/lender reporting; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred, with ERP experience (Sage/NetSuite).

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience with percentage-of-completion revenue recognition and WIP reporting.
• Multi-entity accounting experience.
• Exposure to acquisition integration or a PE-backed environment is highly desirable.
• CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
• Experience with Sage, NetSuite, or a comparable ERP.

• Prepare WIP schedules and support percentage-of-completion revenue recognition.
• Assist multi-entity consolidation and intercompany eliminations; onboard acquisitions to ERP.
• Support job cost accounting, including cost coding and project margin analysis.
• Prepare monthly sponsor and lender reporting packages.
• Coordinate the annual audit and support tax workpapers with external advisors.

Job description

Our client is a PE-backed service platform serving commercial, multifamily, and community association properties across eastern US. With 20+ years of operating history and a lower middle-market sponsor executing an active buy-and-build strategy, the platform has completed multiple add-on acquisitions in the past year -- and the finance team is being built out to match. The Senior Accountant will report to the CFO, and help institutionalize accounting across a growing multi-entity platform.

What you'll do

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities; journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules across multiple entities
• Prepare WIP schedules and support percentage-of-completion revenue recognition
• Support multi-entity consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and onboarding of acquired entities onto the platform ERP
• Support job cost accounting, including cost coding review and project-level margin analysis
• Prepare monthly sponsor and lender reporting packages
• Serve as a key contact for the annual audit and support tax workpapers prepared by outside advisors

What we're looking for

Compensation, Benefits & Work Arrangement

• Base annual salary of $100,000 - $140,000 (depending on location and experience)
