Position Summary

The Senior Accountant, reporting to the Controller, will apply professional financial concepts and techniques dedicated to preparing, analyzing, consolidating, and reviewing accounting processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review general monthly journal entries.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee the preparation of GAAP financial statements, supporting schedules and variance analysis.
• Assist in preparation of monthly management and bank reporting packages and related analysis.
• Manage and record all daily revenue activities.
• Prepare for and coordinate with external auditors in connection with the company’s annual audit.
• Develop accounting systems and internal control processes to enhance the company’s financial reporting and internal control environment.
• Complete special projects as directed by the Controller.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Great Plains.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and Access required.
• 3+ years of Public/Private Accounting experience preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to excel in a team environment and work independently.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment using standard office equipment such as computers, laptops, phones, mobile devices, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Demands

Required activities include sitting, standing, walking, talking, and hearing. Occasionally reaching with hands and arms, stooping, and kneeling. Must regularly lift 10 pounds, frequently lift 25 pounds, and occasionally lift 50 pounds.

Location and Scheduling

Reports to our New York City headquarters in midtown Manhattan Monday through Thursday with the option to work from home on Friday.

Salary Range

75,000–85,000 USD annually, Bonus Eligible.
