Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr

Senior Accountant

Location: Naperville, IL | Hybrid (3 days in office)

Compensation: Up to $115K base

Reports To: Corporate Accounting Manager

What You Will Do

• Prepare month-end journal entries for corporate and central functions, including marketing, insurance, prepaids, IT, HR, intercompany, allocations, accruals, and reserves.
• Perform and analyze account reconciliations for assigned areas.
• Conduct financial statement variance analysis and follow up on corrections and resolutions.
• Maintain organized, accurate, and complete accounting records in accordance with GAAP and internal controls.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Operations, HR, IT, etc.) to support strong processes and financial controls.
• Support continuous improvement and shorter close timelines by leveraging technology, standard operating procedures, and process automation.
• Assist with internal and external financial statement audits.
• Participate in technology upgrades, business initiatives, acquisitions, and special projects as assigned.
• Research and assist with implementation of technical accounting matters.
• Document policies, procedures, and workflow for areas of responsibility.
• Support and assist the Corporate Accounting Manager with additional duties as needed.

Ideal Background

• CPA or CPA-eligible required
• 3+ years of experience in public accounting OR corporate accounting within a large or multi-entity organization
• Strong foundation in GAAP, reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and accrual-based accounting
• Experience with inventory, manufacturing, distribution, or wholesale environments a plus
• Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) preferred
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
