Job summary

firstPRO, Inc. is seeking an Accountant to join a private equity-backed, high-growth finance team. This newly created opportunity offers visibility and career growth, working closely with the Controller and CFO and gaining exposure to senior leadership.

The role goes beyond traditional accounting, with responsibilities across close, cash, reconciliations, and involvement in acquisitions as the company grows. Payroll is not included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–5+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP, reconciliations, and month-end close knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support the month-end close with journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Assist with monthly financial statements and management reporting.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
• Own daily cash tracking and cash reconciliations.
• Prepare cash reporting and analyze cash activity, trends, variances.
• Support cash forecasting and liquidity planning.
• Assist with general ledger, AP/AR review, and expense classification.
• Participate in acquisition and integration activities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Procurement, IT, and leadership.

Job description

An exciting opportunity is available for an Accountant to join a rapidly growing, private equity-backed organization.

This is a newly created opportunity within high-performing finance team and offers tremendous visibility, exposure, and career growth.

This is much more than a traditional accounting role. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to become a key member of a growing finance organization, working closely with the Controller and CFO and gaining exposure to senior leadership and the broader business.

As the company continues to grow through both organic expansion and acquisitions, this individual will have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility, develop new processes, and grow into a larger role within the organization.

What You'll Do

• Support the month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Assist with monthly financial statements and management reporting
• Maintain accurate and well-supported balance sheet reconciliations
• Take ownership of daily cash tracking and weekly/monthly cash reconciliations
• Prepare cash reporting and provide visibility into cash activity, trends, and variances
• Support cash forecasting and liquidity planning
• Assist with general ledger activities, AP/AR review, expense classification, and accounting transactions
• Participate in acquisition and integration activities as the company continues to expand
• Work cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Procurement, IT, and leadership

This role does not include payroll processing.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2–5+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Experience with an ERP/accounting system such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, or similar
