Position Overview

The Senior Accountant will oversee daily accounting functions, month-end closing, and financial reporting for Sales and Service departments, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and supporting business growth through financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily sales closeouts and record transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
• Reconcile and manage sales and service reports
• Calculate and process commissions
• Process credit card and ACH payments
• Manage warranty payments and billing
• Handle employee loans and payables
• Review vendor bills, manage accounts payable and receivable
• Create warranty recaps and manage warranty billing for partners

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a dealership or retail environment
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online and dealership management systems
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience with commission-based pay structures
• Familiarity with warranty billing and manufacturer reimbursements
• Knowledge of inventory and cost accounting
