Job summary

A growing tech startup is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This position will involve maintaining financial records, supervising reconciliations, and assisting with payroll. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting and a strong understanding of GAAP. This is a fully remote position after an initial two-week in-person training in Boston, MA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in QBO, with Airtable experience as a plus.
  • Startup and/or Commercial Real Estate experience a plus.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles required.

Overview

LocateAI is seeking a results-driven Senior Accountant to join our team. We are a startup and this team member will be our first finance hire, so this role will be ever changing and growing as the company does. The right candidate will be flexible and open-minded, ready to take on tactical tasks now, but ready to help create and implement processes alongside our Operations team.

Responsibilities
  • Maintaining and preparing financial records, ie bookkeeping
  • Supervising monthly reconciliation of credit card and bank accounts
  • Managing monthly and quarterly close process
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable in tandem with operations
  • Assisting with payroll and tax filings
  • Work with operations team on A/R
  • Review financial statements for accuracy and compliance
  • Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Other related accounting duties specific to our company / industry
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Proficiency in QBO, with Airtable experience as a plus
  • Startup and / or Commercial Real Estate experience a plus
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, accounting principles and practices required
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

This is a fully remote role after initial paid two week in-person training in Boston, MA. This remote position is open to candidates residing in MA, NY, CO, NJ, VA or CA.
