Job summary

BinMaster Sensors and Technologies LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant in Lincoln, NE to enhance accounting processes and ensure accurate financial reporting. The role focuses on AR management, tax reconciliation, journal entries, and close processes, with collaboration across departments to improve efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a BA in Accounting and 3–5 years of manufacturing accounting experience, plus exposure to ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Demonstrated professionalism and problem‑solving ability.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Receivable including collections calls and credits processing.
• Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable records.
• Reconcile Sales Tax collected with tax reporting in external software.
• Review and approve sales tax returns for states.
• Reconcile sales tax credits and carryovers for all states.
• Maintain customer Sales Tax Exemption Certificates.
• Manage external sales commissions process.
• Perform journal entries and complex ledger reconciliations per audit requirements.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Assist with income statement and balance sheet packages and variance analyses.
• Participate in internal and external audit processes.
• Cross-train for other Accounting staff positions as needed.
• Collaborate with teammates to design and implement process improvements.

WHAT WE WILL ASK YOU TO DO:

• Manage our Accounts Receivable including collections calls and resolution of issues as well as RMA/credits processing
• Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable related records
• Reconcile Sales Tax collected per ledger with Sales Tax Reported in external software
• Review and approve sales tax returns for states
• Reconcile sales tax credits and carryovers for all states
• Maintain customer Sales Tax Exemption Certificates
• Manage external sales commissions process
• Perform journal entries and complex ledger account reconciliations including identification and remediation of all issues in compliance with audit requirements
• Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger closing processes
• Assist with the preparation of income statement and balance sheet packages and related comprehensive analysis for variances and trends and communication of this information to management and external parties as needed
• Participate in the internal and external audit process
• Cross-train for other Accounting staff positions as needed
• Collaborate with teammates and initiate ideas with management to identify, design, and implement process improvements for greater efficiency and effectiveness
• Participate in other strategic accounting and business projects as they arise

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TABLE:

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting from four-year college or university
• 3 to 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Must demonstrate professionalism and the ability to problem solve
• Working knowledge and experience with ERP systems preferred
