Job summary

Premier Truck Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage essential financial processes for its dealership operations. The role focuses on timely financial reporting, reconciliations, and accuracy across the general ledger and month-end close.

Ideal candidates hold a accounting degree, dealership experience is preferred, and proficiency with MS Office is required. This role offers growth within a large, nationwide dealer network and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• A college degree in accounting or a related field is required.
• A minimum of one year experience in a dealership environment preferred.
• Experience with the automotive sales, service and parts industry is a plus.
• Advanced level of experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding all business and employment issues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, statistical reports and bank reconciliations.
• Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and post journal entries during month end close.
• Perform balance sheet and budget comparison analysis and explain variances.
• Responsible for dealership depreciation/fixed assets.
• Responsible for dealership factory payable recon.
• Responsible for deposit reconciliation/posting.
• Responsible for balance sheet account reconciliation.
• Responsible for calculation of sales and use tax.
• Responsible for warranty-payments and credit memos.
• Responsible for AP invoice approvals and verification.
• Audit sales analysis.
• Maintain and post/apply and verify all monies (down payments, deposits, credit card slips, refunds and bank wires) on truck sales.
• Process customer refunds.
• Provide daily dealership assistance.
• Perform all other duties as assigned
