Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated seeks a seasoned accounting professional to prepare and maintain accurate financial records and statements. You will provide management with cost, payroll, and forecasting insights with minimal supervision, tackling complex tasks and leading in specialized areas.

Responsibilities include preparing balance sheets, P&L, and regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting year-end audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (B.A.) from four-year college or university.
• Minimum of 10 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent.
• US Citizenship with ability to attain/maintain government security clearance.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/financial systems.

Job Summary

Prepares and maintains accuracy of accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to procedural standards. Provides management with accurate information in the areas of cost, payroll, and forecasting in an efficient manner. At this level, tasks and assignments tend to be complex, non-routine and/or require a greater level of expertise and duties are performed under very limited supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.


• Responsible for uploading financial data to OneStream the Corporate Consolidation system.


• Responsible for SEC reporting to the Corporate office.


• Provides record of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.


• Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for managers.


• Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.


• Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.


• Collects appropriate data and prepares federal, state and local reports and tax returns.


• Serves as back-up for other accounting duties.


• Supports the preparation of year-end audit files and analysis.


• Daily availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities but may provide technical leadership to lower-level Accountants including carrying out lead responsibilities in accordance with applicable regulations and laws and the organization’s policies and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to training employees, planning, assigning, directing work and resolving technically related work problems.

Other Essential Duties

• Follows all import/export requirements, consulting with facility import/export personnel as required.

• Basic Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100


• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen


• Knowledge of specific software (design, analysis, ERP…)
