Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance department. This role is instrumental in supporting the financial integrity of Saint Luke’s and its affiliated entities, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and transparency in all accounting operations.

This is a remote position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and execute complex accounting functions across the health system, including journal entries, account reconciliations, consolidations, and monthly/annual financial statement preparation in compliance with U.S. GAAP.

  • Review and analyze financial results, identifying unusual or significant variances to ensure financial statements are accurate, complete, and fairly stated.

  • Manage and complete accounting areas that require a high degree of judgment or complexity, under the guidance of the Director of Accounting and Accounting Manager.

  • Provide daily guidance, training, and mentorship to staff accountants to support professional development and maintain high team performance.

  • Collaborate with departments across the health system to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data that supports strategic decision-making.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with relevant experience.

  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal control frameworks; healthcare or nonprofit accounting experience preferred.

  • Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
