Job summary

KerberRose is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead tax compliance and financial reporting engagements, including preparation and review of statements under GAAP and FRF for SMEs. You will work with diverse clients, partner with ownership teams, and enhance technical accounting expertise while mentoring junior staff.

You will build client relationships, perform tax planning, prepare returns for individuals and entities, and contribute to research memos and IRS submissions in a collaborative,

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
CPA certification preferred or eligible.
5+ years of recent public accounting experience.
Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements under GAAP and FRF for SMEs.

Responsibilities

Build and manage client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of clients' businesses.
Perform tax planning and occasional specialty duties.
Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, real estate, and exempt organizations.
Prepare research memoranda and guidance for IRS submissions.
Manage multiple clients, budgets, and production goals.
Prepare and review GAAP/FRF for SMEs financial statements.
Assist clients with financial reporting matters and accounting questions.
Mentor staff accountants.

Job description

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in both tax compliance and financial reporting engagements, including the preparation and review of financial statements under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the Financial Reporting Framework for Small- and Medium-Sized Entities (FRF for SMEs). Experience a variety of industries, work closely with business owners and leadership teams, and expand your technical accounting expertise while mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of clients' businesses.
Complete tax planning, along with occasional specialty duties.
Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, real estate, and exempt organizations.
Prepare research memoranda, written correspondence/guidance, and other documents for submission to the IRS or other taxing authorities.
Manage multiple clients, budgets, and production goals.
Prepare and review compiled and reviewed financial statements in accordance with GAAP and FRF for SMEs standards.
Assist clients with financial reporting matters and related accounting questions.
Provide guidance and mentorship to staff accountants.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
CPA Certification preferred or eligible.
5+ years of recent public accounting experience.
