Job summary

Thomas Edwards Group is seeking a Senior Accountant in Euless, TX to lead inventory accounting, reconcile subledgers to the general ledger, and ensure accurate postings for RAW, WIP, and FG items.

The candidate should have 5+ years of manufacturing accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and ERP system expertise to support inventory integrity and timely closes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of manufacturing accounting experience with inventory emphasis.
• Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and reconciliation for RAW, WIP, and FG.
• Reconcile inventory subledgers to the general ledger and investigate variances.
• Calculate and post monthly inventory-related journal entries.
• Analyze material usage and scrap.
• Monitor slow-moving or obsolete inventory and record reserves.
• Coordinate with warehouse to review cycle counts and document adjustments.
• Reconcile inventory across plants, warehouses, and transit locations.
• Maintain controls over inventory receipts, issues, transfers, and disposals.

Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounting and reconciliation for RAW, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods (FG).
• Reconcile inventory subledgers to the general ledger and investigate and resolve variances including reserve trends
• Calculate and post monthly inventory, consumption, production, transfer, and adjustment journal entries
• Analyze material usage and scrap
• Monitor slow-moving, excess, obsolete, and expired inventory; calculate and record appropriate reserves. Support new and existing product set up and changes, discontinued product review
• Review negative inventory, unusual transactions, unposted production orders, and aging WIP.
• Coordinate with the warehouse team to review cycle counts; reconcile differences and document adjustments (Support API)
• Reconcile inventory held at plants, warehouses, third-party locations, and in transit.
• Maintain controls over inventory receipts, issues, transfers, production, adjustments, and disposals
• Identify process improvements and strengthen ERP inventory and manufacturing controls.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
