Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Experience with NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar software.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Confidentiality and ethical conduct.
  • Team-oriented with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the company’s financial operations. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting payroll, managing accounts payable and receivable, collections, invoicing, month end closing and other accounting functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of supporting the finance team in achieving operational and strategic goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
General Accounting:
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare journal entries, month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Support financial reporting and audits.
Payroll Support:
  • Serve as backup for payroll processing.
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations, adjustments, and reporting.
Accounts Payable:
  • Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
  • Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledgers to the general ledger.
  • Manage vendor communications regarding payments.
Accounts Receivable & Collections:
  • Generate customer invoices and statements.
  • Monitor and manage collections to ensure timely receipt of payments.
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Support system implementations and upgrades as needed.
Other Duties:
  • Support the Finance team with ad hoc projects and analysis.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, (especially Excel) and experience with reporting tools.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
